Almond Drops Print
 


INGREDIENTS
2 cups flour
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 eggs
2 tablespoons margarine , room temperature
1/2 cup cream cheese , room temperature
2 tablespoons sour cream
2 tablespoons almond extract
1/2 cup chopped almonds
confectioners' sugar

DIRECTIONS
Yield: 4 dozen

Preheat oven to 375F. In a medium bowl, mix first six ingredients together. In a large bowl, blend the remaining six ingredients on medium speed until a thorough consistency is reached. Gradually add dry mixture into the almond mixture, stirring constantly. On a lightly-greased baking sheet, drop about 1 to 2 tablespoons of cookie dough about 2 inches apart and bake 12 to 15 minutes. Using a metal spatula, transfer cookies to wire racks to cool and top with confectioners' sugar.
